Get others to listen.

If you want to influence others, don’t disagree with them.

Don’t tell them they’re wrong. Doing that will only make them defensive.

Validate their emotions. Acknowledge their feelings. Listen to them.

Perhaps then, they may listen to you.

Push your limits.

Keep pushing yourself and you’ll see what you’re really capable of. Of 

course, you can do better.

You just have to expect more from yourself.

No matter how far you’ve come, you can go farther. Don’t listen to anyone

 who tells you otherwise.

Be interested in what others have to say and you will

 become very interesting to them.

Put your stories on hold for a minute and listen to the 

stories of others.

You’ll be surprised how interesting others will consider 

you once you show a little interest in what they have to say.
