Beyond What Meets The Eyes

There’s something that you must never forget and that is that you are stronger than you look, smarter than you seem, and braver than you appear.

For an accurate description of a hermit crab, you wouldn’t describe the looks of its shield but rather what lies within it; for its outer shell is but a recycled armor that used to belong to another creature.

To get an accurate sketch of the real you; you must look beyond what meets the eyes, then will you be able to see that you are stronger than you look, smarter than you seem, and braver than you appear.

“Clothes and manners do not make the man; but, when he is made, they greatly improve his appearance.” ~Henry Ward Beecher

Affirm This Statement

Every incident today will connect me with my infinite source of strength, amplify my courage, and exponentially multiply my never-ending success.

Exercise:

1-Deceiving Appearances: You know that earth moves around the sun and not the other way around. While the sun seems like it rises and sets, it doesn’t. Your senses overlook 99% of what takes place around and inside of you. With this in mind ask yourself “What are some of the most amazing things about me that my senses have not yet detected?” Write down 21 answers to this question.

2-Interview Your Admirers: Think of at least 5 people who think the most highly of you. Interview them and ask them these questions... “What do you admire the most about me? What do you like best about me? What is the one thing that I have done that has inspired or impressed you the most?”

3-Stretch Yourself: In the past, you have encountered situations where you didn’t know what to do...yet somehow you found not only a way out but also what you are capable of. Can you think of a moment like this? Today voluntarily put yourself in a similar situation...for instance do something you’ve been avoiding for a long time. Do it and you’ll find something new and amazing about yourself.
